Defense paces Metuchen to opening-round playoff win
Bulldogs football dispatches Spotswood, will take on Highland Park next

      The Metuchen High School football team is back in the NJSIAA Central Group I semifinals. The No. 2 Bulldogs earned a place among the final four teams after beating Spotswood, 28-7, over the weekend. Last year's Metuchen team advanced to the title game.

Metuchen ends season with CJ I title game loss

      The Metuchen High School girls soccer team began its quest for a sectional title with a 5-0 win over Manville on Nov. 5. With the victory, Metuchen advanced to the Central Jersey Group I semifinals against No. 3 David Brearley High School, which Metuchen defeated by a score of 2-1.
