Swift Boat ads have Bush ‘fingerprints’ on them

It is time for George Bush to follow John McCain’s lead and attack the Swift Boat Veterans ads as being "dishonest and dishonorable."

George Bush can’t tell the American public that he respects John Kerry’s service in Vietnam AND stand by silently witnessing these dishonest attacks on John Kerry’s service and the men who saw battle with him.

This whole malicious attack has the fingerprints of the Bush administration all over it.

The Swift Boat Veterans initial funding came from men with ties to the president and his family.

A Texas publicist who worked for Mr. Bush’s father has provided them with strategic advice.

Their television commercial was produced by the same team that made the devastating ad mocking Michael Dukakis.

The tone and tactics of the ads closely resemble the Bush attacks against McCain’s service during the South Carolina primary race.

It is time for George Bush to stop pretending to be sanctimonious about this issue while having the Swift Boat Veterans do his dirty work.
