Roosevelt Care Center, a long-term care center in Edison, has earned advisory standards status from the state Department of Health and Senior Services. An eight-member team from the department, which conducted its annual review of the facility during five days in January, recognized the center for going above and beyond the minimum requirements to provide its residents with excellent care, particularly through its pain-management program and the personal attention it gives to each resident.

According to the review, the facility met higher standards in 17 areas, from quality of care, access to care and resident activities to administration, rehabilitation and Alzheimer’s/dementia programming. Roosevelt’s standing will be noted on the health department’s Web site.
