Teens can prepare for some scares at libraries The Edison Public Library is or will soon be holding registration in person or by phone for its series of classic horror films titled "Teen Creature Features Horror Film Festival." The program is open to teenagers only; no younger siblings will be admitted. Registration has already begun for the first film, which will be shown at 7 p.m. July 17 at the North Edison Branch, and at 4 p.m. July 18 at the main branch. The featured creature will drain the blood from its victims with just a single bite. The second film will take place at 6:30 p.m. July 25 at the main branch, with registration beginning July 18. This movie's 50-foot beast will scale the Empire State Building and hold beauty in the palm of its hand. Beginning Aug. 2, fright seekers can register for the third film, which is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the main library. With a bolt in its neck and a defective brain, this monster will go mad. Registration for the fourth film will open Aug. 15. The film will start scaring at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the main branch, and at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at North Edison. "Mum's" the word for this immortal being, who was buried alive in ancient Egypt for thousands of years. Call (732) 548-0845.
