Andrew P. Marino

Mr. Marino, 67, of the Belford section of Middletown, died July 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Queens, N.Y., prior to relocating to Belford 35 years ago. He was vice president of computer programming analysts at Citi Bank, New York City, for 38 years, retiring in 2004. He served with the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis in 1991; and two brothers, Joseph and Corrado Marino. He is survived by his fiancee, Ruth Singer of New York; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Marino of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, and James Marino of Lawrenceville; and a brother, Anthony Marino of Margate, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

William Galik

Mr. Galik, 81, of Monroe Township, died June 27 at home. Born in New York City, he resided in Jersey City, and North Brunswick for 40 years, prior to moving to Monroe Township nine years ago. He was a captain and troop commander at the New Jersey State Police for 30 years, retiring in 1977. Following retirement he was head of security at U.S. Metals, Carteret, for more than 15 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Somerset. He was an assistant troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America, North Brunswick. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was predeceased by a brother, John Galik. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Meltzer Galik; three sons and two brothers-in-law, William Galik of Plymouth, Minn., Robert and Lynne Galik of Columbus, and Jeffrey and Michelle Galik of East Amwell; three sisters, Mary Chando of Washington, Kay Mastey of Fort Myers, Fla., and Elsie Carothers of Edmond, Okla.; and seven grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
