Obituaries Michael Blazas Mr. Blazas, 31, of East Brunswick, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died July 8 at home. A police officer for the borough of Sayreville for the past three years, he was a member of Sayreville Policemen's Benevolent Association No. 98. Prior to becoming a police officer, he was employed for eight years at C/C Gulf, Fords section of Woodbridge. He then was a self-employed landscaper, co-owning K&B Landscaping, Parlin, for three years. He later sold the business, now known as Lawn Enforcement, to his brother, Jason. Surviving are his wife, Dawn Nappi Blazas; his parents, Charles "Chip" and Sharon Nagy Blazas of Parlin; a brother, Jason of Parlin; his maternal grandmother, Olga Nagy of Fords; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. Interment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
Colleen Ann Bohl Ms. Bohl, 44, of Point Pleasant, died July 2 at Rosegarden Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided there and in Red Bank, prior to moving to Point Pleasant in 2003. She was an LPN at Nurse Finders of New Jersey. She was an avid skier. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Sheehan Bohl. She is survive by a sister, Maureen Cutrone of Monroe; two brothers, Kevin of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Brian of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y. Arrangements were by Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.
Dale E. Walsh Deffert Mrs. Deffert, 46, of Matawan, died July 12 at home. Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong resident of Matawan. Mrs. Deffert was a homemaker, and a bus aide at Milu Bus Service Inc., Aberdeen. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas R. Walsh Sr. She is survived by her husband, Theodore Balog; her mother and stepfather, Violet and Wayne Morris of Brick; a son, Jarrett Feldman of Keyport; a brother, Thomas R. Walsh Jr. of Jamesburg; and her former husband, Matthew Feldman of Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
Florence Warren Zamot Mrs. Zamot, 63 of Freehold, died July 2 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was a nurse's aide at Springview Nursing Home, Freehold Township, for 10 years, retiring 10 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Felix; six sons, David Pattaway of the Cayman Islands, Lawrence Pattaway of Freehold, Felix Zamot Jr. of Manchester, Rafael Zamot of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pedro "Albert" Zamot and Arthur Zamot, both of Freehold; a daughter, Danielle Fladger of Wrightstown; a brother, Sylvester "Sal" Warren of Freehold; three sisters, Viola "Jackie" Austin of Howell, Sylvia Day of Monroe and Gloria "Mary" Davis of Freehold; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
