Obituaries

Domenick Cuccio

Mr. Cuccio, 73, of Barnegat, died Aug. 25 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in North Edison and Marlboro before moving to Barnegat four years ago. He was a master mechanic for the International Longshoremen's Association, Elizabeth, for 25 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the military during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Amy (Rende); three sons and daughters-in-law, Sal and Marci Cuccio of Hillsborough, Anthony and Amy Cuccio of Milltown, and Domenick and Lisa Cuccio of Kenilworth; a daughter and son-in-law, Claudine and Ricky Falcone of the Fords section of Woodbridge; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Connie Gaglia and Anna Cuccio, both of New York, and Rosie and Freddie Gentile of Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Cookie Misiano of North Carolina; and four granddaughters and a grandson. Services were held at the Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, followed by a Mass at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. Entombment took place at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, also Marlboro.

Phyllis E. Dotts

Mrs. Dotts, 64, of Old Bridge, died July 9 in the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark. Surviving are her husband, Nathan Dotts; three sons, Darren F. Bivings and Christopher D. Jenkins, both of Staten Island, N.Y., and Gregory N. Wynder of Old Bridge; three daughters, Michelle A. Dotts of Atlanta, Annette T. Dotts of the Sewaren section of Woodbridge and Rachel N. Berry of Jamesburg; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Cremation was private.

Ilona Schlieszler Piatkowski-Janosz

Mrs. Piatkowski-Janosz, 67, of Parlin, died Aug. 10 at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was an administrative assistant at Saint Peter's University Hospital. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Dudash; and a brother, Henry Dudash. She is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Edward R. and Kimberly Piatkowski of York, Pa., John P. Piatkowski of Old Bridge, Francis J. Piatkowski of South Amboy, Donald W. and Dawn Piatkowski of the Avenel section of Woodbridge, and Michael D. and Karen Piatkowski of Carteret; a daughter and son-in-law, Susann L. Piatkowski and her husband Henry of Parlin; her stepfather, John Dudash; a brother, John Dudash of Arizona; two sisters, Rose Coopersmith of Plainfield, and Ernestine Fentos of Pennsylvania; and 10 grandchildren. Interment was at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Arrangements were by Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge.

Augustine L. Morelli

Mr. Morelli, 84, of South Amboy, died Aug. 18 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1998, he was employed as a tractor-trailer driver for Bett-A-Way Inc., Edison, where he worked for eight years. Surviving are his wife, Mae Mayer Morelli; two sons, Stephen Pustay of Wilsonville, Ore., and Jeffrey Pustay of Howell; a sister, Theresa Moccia of Howard Beach, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette's Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
