Suspects wanted in dual robberies of 7-Eleven WOODBRIDGE — The township police department released surveillance photographs of two suspects wanted in two separate, late-night robberies at a 7-Eleven convenience store on Route 1 south in Avenel. The two separate robberies occurred at 10:07 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 10:21 p.m. on Dec. 18, police said. Police are looking for a 6-foot-3 black male, approximately 30 years old, medium build, with a black goatee, wearing a black wool hat, black-hooded sweat shirt-type jacket or pull-over, a red shirt, and blue jeans for the robbery on Dec. 14, the police report said. The suspect picked up a bag of potato chips, approached the check-out counter and waited next to a customer who was making a purchase, the police report said. As the clerk opened the register drawer, the suspect leaned over the counter and grabbed cash from the open register, police said. The suspect ran on foot from the store down Leesville Avenue, the police report said.
