Library to offer series on decluttering, organizing

The Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave., will welcome professional organizer Eva Abreu at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 as she presents "Where Do I Start?," the first program in a three-part series on "Decluttering and Organizing." Abreu will first discuss why clutter accumulates and why people have a hard time letting go of their "stuff." Participants will learn how to take the first step and how to stay motivated. The series continues at 2 p.m. March 10, when Abreu will focus on dealing with "Piles of Paper" in terms of deciding what to keep, what to shred and what to organize and have on hand in case of an emergency. It will conclude at 2 p.m. on April 14 with "Attics, Garages and Closets, Oh My!" Abreu will offer advice on how to sort through these areas and will provide storage options as well. To register for a program or the entire series, call the library at (732) 287-2298, ext. 1, or sign up at the circulation desk.
