Trip slated to King Tut exhibit in Philadelphia
The Friends of the Metuchen Library will visit the King Tutankhamun (King Tut) exhibit on April 10 at The Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia. King Tut's tomb was first discovered in 1922. Due to the regional interest in the show - which is entirely different than the one from 25 years ago - there are two time slots, one at 1:30 p.m. and another at 2 p.m. The bus will leave Library Place (street parking is available) at 8 a.m. and will depart from Philadelphia at 4:15 p.m. (lunch may be purchased at The Franklin Institute's cafeteria). The trip costs $65, which includes transportation and driver gratuity, entry fee, audio and an IMAX film. Checks should be made payable to the Friends of the Metuchen Library and presented at the library's front desk at the time of registration. The Metuchen Public Library is located at 480 Middlesex Ave. There will be a sign-up sheet for both time slots, with a maximum number of people allotted for each. A waiting list will be provided if necessary. No refunds will be given for cancellations. For more information, call the library at (732) 632-526.
