Metuchen Library to host international film fest The Metuchen Public Library will continue its annual summer foreign film series, the Edna Newby International Film Festival, with the Japanese film "Fear and Trembling." The festival will run through Aug. 13. Each film will be shown twice, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on the indicated date. Admission is free to all. Each film will be shown in its original language with English subtitles. The festival continues on Monday, July 30, with the Italian film "I'm Not Scared." Aug. 6 is the Icelandic film "Noi." The festival concludes on Monday, Aug. 13, with the Spanish film "Volver." The Edna Newby International Film Festival is sponsored by the Friends of the Metuchen Public Library.
