'To Kill a Mockingbird' to be shown July 28

The Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission will be sponsoring a classic film night on Saturday, July 28, at 7:30 p.m. The commission will be showing "To Kill a Mockingbird" starring Gregory Peck. Peck won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Atticus Finch, a lawyer, in a radically divided Alabama town in the 1930s who agrees to defend a black man accused of raping a white woman. The film will be shown in the Borough Hall courtroom, 500 Main St. Admission is $5 at the door on the evening of the show.
