Metuchen Seniors to host luncheon Oct. 21 Chamber of Commerce member to host benefit

The Metuchen Seniors Inc. will hold its 14th annual luncheon Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in Schreiber Hall, Kiddie Keepwell Camp, 35 Roosevelt Drive, Roosevelt Park. The building is handicap accessible and air-conditioned and has free parking. The donation is $20 per person, and all ages are welcome. Anyone wishing to attend must send a check payable to Metuchen Seniors to 15 Center St., Metuchen, NJ 08840, and include their telephone number and the names of the people joining them at their table. Registration is required by Oct. 8. The menu will be provided by Fresco of Metuchen. Entertainment and door prizes will be featured.

Metuchen Chamber of Commerce member Wild Rice will host a benefit dinner Oct. 4, 5-10 p.m., to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One hundred percent of the profits will be donated to the Christina B. Walsh Breast Cancer Foundation, and all proceeds to the foundation will be directed toward providing financial assistance for breast cancer patients via the Christina S. Walsh Breast Cancer Oncology Fund at University Medical Center Princeton, the Patient Relief Fund at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, and the Christina S. Walsh Foundation Patient Support Fund. The event will be held at Wild Rice, 414 Main St., Metuchen, a modern Vietnamese restaurant.
