Police seek suspect in Durham Ave. sexual attack

METUCHEN - Police are looking for a dark-skinned male who is a suspect in the sexual assault of a 21-year-old female who was walking along Durham Avenue last week, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. as the victim, a Virginia resident, was walking on Durham Avenue between William Street and Center Street on Oct. 11, police said.

The victim told police that the suspect grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her, and that he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to police reports.
