Police seek information on luring incidents EDISON - Edison police are searching for information regarding two separate attempts to lure children into cars. Both incidents took place Thursday, Feb. 14. The first took place around 7:50 a.m. near the swimming pool area of an apartment complex on Michelle Circle, which is near Talmadge Road.A13-year-old girl was walking to her bus stop and passed a BMW with tinted windows, which were halfway down. She said that there was a black man, about 30 years old, balding, with a Jamaican accent, in the car. He said, "Come over here" twice, according to police, and the girl became scared and ran the rest of the way to the bus stop. The car then drove away. The second incident took place around 3:40 that afternoon. According to police, an 11-year-old girl said that she saw a white man between 50 and 60 years old driving a four-door car, either brown or gray, while she was walking home from John Marshall School, along the path behind the school. At the intersection of Lexington and Marshall Drive, according to the police report, theman drove up near the girl and gestured for her to come toward the car.
