Voters' intelligence should not be insulted
Irefuse to believe that the citizens of New Jersey are stupid. Only stupid people would look away while politicians and well connected appointees reap the benefits of triple pensions, full medical benefits, automobile allowances etc. while being told the state of New Jersey is in dire straits. We as citizens of New Jersey are being told that if we do not accept toll increases we will be forced to accept gasoline increases and other fees associated with driving a car in New Jersey. The middle and lower class residents of New Jersey who need cars to survive will be taxed as well as the wealthy.

I have several suggestions: Eliminate health benefits for politicians and appointees receiving double and triple pensions. Most workers have to pay at least part or the entire amount of their medical insurance. Have you ever noticed that some streets in the state are paved more than once a year while others aren't paved for years? We pay for this. It is unfair that the taxpayers pay huge pensions to those who raise their salaries in the last few months of their employment to raise their pensions. Overtime should be monitored so towns are not hit with huge amounts of money at one time. While some school districts are being consolidated to save money, most are not doing this; to preserve people's salaries they will not consolidate with other towns.. In many cases relatives of these employees serve on the Board of Education and vote to maintain the status quo. Illegal immigrants are sending their children to our schools and they do not pay taxes. The taxpayers of New Jersey support them.

As citizens of New Jersey we must say "enough
