Chamber seeks business award nominations The Edison Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for people, organizations and companies who have made a difference in the Edison community. The awards will be presented at the Edison Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting and awards dinner June 17. Following are the categories for this year's awards: Chamber Member of the Year recognizes an individual member who has significantly contributed to the well-being of the organization and community. Outstanding Business of the Year recognizes small, mid-size and large businesses for remarkable business success. Community Spirit recognizes an individual who lives or works in Edison and who has contributed significantly to the community in a leadership role. Young Entrepreneur of the Year recognizes a student in an Edison high school or college who has operated a successful business. Educator of the Year recognizes a local educator who has motivated young people to excel in their studies and to pursue continuing education. Annamae Baerenbach Business Scholarship Award recognizes students in or going on to higher education who excel in business studies and contribute to the positive image of their community. Family Owned/Operated recognizes a successful family-owned and -operated business, including a franchise business, that has contributed to the Edison area's economy. Nominations are due April 30.
