Outreach Health Fair for veterans April 26

A Veterans Outreach Health Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 26 at theAmerican Legion Post No. 65 on Route 27 in Metuchen.

The fair is co-sponsored by AMVETS Post No. 3, the American Legion Post No. 65, District 8 Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, the American Merchant Marine Veterans, the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the New Jersey Veterans Administration Health Care System, and the Women Veterans Association of America.

The fair will provide a general non-invasive exam by a VA doctor, blood pressure screening, dental exam, cancer screening, on-site VA enrollment and registration, and a medical benefits questionand answer forum including on Agent Orange and post-traumatic stress syndrome.

All those interested in participating must show proof of military service, a DD214 (record of service) and/or a VA medical ID card.
