Temple Emanu-El to host spring concert, family service

Temple Emanu-El in Edison will be hosting the following events inMay.

The annual spring concert, themed "Many Lands, One People," featuring Jewishmusic fromall over the world, will be held May 17 beginning at 8 p.m. The Temple's Cantor Kumin, Cantor Kathy Barr of Temple Shalomin Succasunna andHazzan SamLevine of Midwood JewishCenter inBrooklyn, alongwith Temple Emanu-El's junior and adult choirs will perform. They will be accompanied by David Bravo on piano and a percussionist. Early bird tickets cost $25, $30 one week before the concert, and for seniors $20, students $18. Call the temple to reserve tickets.

Temple Emanu-El's choir will be one of several choral groups frommany synagogues to celebrate Israel's 60th anniversary at the State Theatre in New Brunswick May 22 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free, but reservations are required. Call the State Theatre at (732) 246-7469.

The temple invites family groups to its family service on May 30. The event will feature entertainment by Rick Recht.

The temple's religious school students will hold their annualMaccabee GamesMay 31 at 4 p.m.
