Scrapbooking evenings to benefit BIL scholarship

The Borough Improvement League (BIL) of Metuchen will hold scrapbooking evenings at the historic Old Franklin School, 491 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, 6- 11 p.m. May 30 and June 27.

Registration is $5, with all proceeds benefiting the BIL scholarship fund, which annually awards a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating student pursuing a career in education, medicine or social work.

Participants should bring a scrapbook or photo project.An expert will be on hand to provide guidance; complimentary refreshments will be available, and door prizes will be awarded. The events are being co-sponsored by Family Friends, a nonsectarian, volunteer organization that sponsors play groups, social activities, support and more for families with young children.
