Bus trips, Shakespeare, concerts this summer

The Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission has planned the following events for August:

• Aug. 8 - Summer Concert Series at the senior center, 8 p.m.

• Aug. 9 - Shakespeare in the Park: "Richard II," at Tommy's Pond, 5 p.m.

• Aug. 13 - Summer bus trip to the Brooklyn Museum. The bus will depart from Borough Hall. Time to be announced

• Aug. 14 - Summer Concert Series: Night Train (New Orleans-style blues) at the senior center, 8 p.m.

• Aug. 21 - Anderson Council at the senior center, 8 p.m.

• Aug. 23 - Movies Under the Stars Double Feature: "Dumbo" and "Ghostbusters" at Myrtle Park. Time to be announced.

• Aug 28 - Summer Concert Series: Roadside Graves with hometown boys John Gleason and Jeremy Benson, at the senior center, 8 p.m.

• Aug. 31 - Summer Concert Series: mr. RAY, followed by Three Sides
