'Nim's Island' to be shown at 'drive-in'

The Edison Recreation Department and Edison Police Department will offer an old-fashioned drive-in movie on Aug. 5 on the Edison High School football field (50 Boulevard of the Eagles).

This event will be part of National Night Out, which is an outdoor evening where the entire community is invited to partake in various activities in a safe environment. It is a nationwide crime prevention event reflecting the day-in, day-out cooperation of citizens and police.

This year's main feature will be the family-oriented adventure "Nim's Island," starring Jodie Foster.

The concession stand will open at 6:30 p.m. with music videos beginning at 7 p.m. Cartoons and the main feature will commence shortly after dusk on the 24-foothigh screen.

Blankets and low-backed chairs are recommended.
