Thank you to those who remembered 9/11
Edison Township held its seventh annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Memorial Fountain at Lake Papaianni on Sept. 11. Close to 170 members of the community came together to remember loved ones lost.

A special thanks needs to go out to a number of people who consistently go out of their way to make sure that important times like this remain nonpolitical and remembered.

Mayor Jun H. Choi, the Edison Council, Edison Police Director Brian Collier, Deputy Chief Thomas Bryan, the police honor guard and bugler Jeff Diakunzak, Fire Chief Norman Jensen, Captain Robert LaCour, bugler Chris Kasperski, Monsignor Robert Zamorsky from Our Lady of Peace Church, and Rabbi Israel Rivkin from Congregation Ohr Torah are people who made this a special evening.

We would also like to thank Edison High School senior Taybee Pajooh for her excellent rendition of our national anthem, and the J.P. Stevens High School Chamber Singers for lending their voices on "America the Beautiful" and "God Bless America."

Thank yous also need to be offered to all the residents of Edison and surrounding communities who continue to come out to remember and show respect.
